Why We Give

The very heart of the Gospel is about giving. “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son.” (John 3:16). And the amazing grace that saves us is also the grace that grows us and frees us to become sacrificial givers – just like our Savior. That’s why the Apostle Paul exhorted us to “see that you also excel in this grace of giving… For you know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that though He was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor” (2 Corinthians 8:7,9). We never look more like our Savior than when we’re sacrificially giving away our lives and investing our money into something bigger than us. We hope you’ll join us in the joy of seeing what God can do for you and through you when you decide to become a sacrificial grace-giver!

Tithes
Our tithes (from the biblical word meaning “tenth”) are what we do to support the regular ministries of the church. We are asking each person to consider committing themselves to this kind of faithful giving. We would encourage you to take God at His Word when He says, “10 Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse...and prove me now herewith, saith the LORD of hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” (Malachi 3:10)

Offerings
The Bible also speaks of “offerings.” Our church has the privilege of having special ministries: Victory Global Missions, Victory Benevolence, Victory Building Fund and Willing Heart Debt Retirement. We are thankful God has entrusted these ministries to us even if they do require special support.

We ask each person in our church family to consider, beyond their regular tithing, to help the church meet our financial obligations to these special ministries by committing to give a special offering to one or more of these ministries each month.

There are many ways to give!
